Art is all; all is art. It speaks of universal feelings: love, fear, longing, despair, shame, hope, thrill. No words; only understanding. The faces I draw are witnesses to my life. They see my soul through their eyes. And I see the reflection. I draw to see; I draw to be seen. They witness your life, too. And the reflection is there. – Rooster Fricke

Rooster Fricke a.k.a. ‘The Rooster’ has deep roots in the South. Traveling the world as a child, he learned that we live in a big, small world. We are many people; we are one people. As an adult, Rooster followed a path of serial monogamy through professional stints as farmer, engineer, scientist, professor. Art and music are not-so-secret lovers that have always been at his side. In the end, the art and family will remain. The rest will fade.
