These images are part of a portfolio of photographs taken around the world called 2˚ East, 3˚ West, an indication that they represent a record of all six continents. They are not defined by a single subject or geographical location. For me, travel represents exploration and discovery. I try to allow every photograph to reveal its own narrative to the viewer, opening its visual and emotional impact to broad interpretation.

Roger Camp is the author of three photography books including the award winning Butterflies in Flight (Thames & Hudson, 2002) and Heat (Charta, Milano, 2008). His work has appeared on the covers of numerous journals including The New England Review and Southwest Review. His work is represented by the Robin Rice Gallery in New York City.
