Jericho Brown’s third collection of poetry The Tradition (Copper Canyon, 2019) won the Pulitzer Prize and was a finalist for many awards, including the National Book Critics Circle Award. His poems have appeared in the Nation, the New Republic, the New Yorker, the Paris Review, Time, and several volumes of The Best American Poetry anthologies.

Marianne Monson is the author of twelve books for children and adults, with an emphasis on frontier-era women’s history. Her newest historical fiction novel is The Opera Sisters. She is also the president of a literary nonprofit, The Writer’s Guild, and divides her time between San Marcos, Texas and her 100-year-old house in Astoria, Oregon.
